From the President, Mike Caldwell: As the current Board begins its nal months of our two one-year terms, we look forward to the nomination and election of the 2026 Golf Club Board. e Nominating Committee, headed up by Larry Becker, will be putting up a slate of candidates for next year's elected ocials: President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary. e new board will be assisted by six chairs (Social Committee, Tournament, Greens, Rules, Membership, and Handicap) selected by the new Board. I would encourage you to consider running for oce or volunteering for one of the chairs. From the Vice President, Bob Morriss: We will be arranging the third KHOV Golf Tournament for later this fall. e tournament is open to all KHOV teams in southwest Riverside. Right now, only Murrieta has signed up, but we hope others will join us. e Tournament now has a traveling trophy. Hemet will host the next tournament. From the Secretary, Mike McLaughlin: It is with a heavy heart that I must note the passing of one of the greatest ever Golf Club member, Eddie Day. He was the ultimate nice guy, always willing to lend a helping hand. A Celebration of his life was held at the Hemet Golf Course Clubhouse, following the Club's Tuesday play on Sept. 2. e large turnout was indicative of the members' respect and admiration for Eddie. Some great stories! He will be missed!
