e Great Shakeout will be conducted nationally, on 10/16
at 10:16 am. Your Emergency Preparedness Committee, and
volunteers, will be ready to test their skills during our annual
drill. We will do search and rescue, first aid, communications,
and best practices for what to do when we are in imminent
danger. It doesn't have to be only earthquakes, it can be other
disaster situations.
Whatever disaster might happen, it would involve all of us,
and we, SDV, need all of you. e more knowledge you have the
more able you will be to help yourself, your neighbors, and your
community. Volunteer to work at our drills, and learn some of
what we do. It will be a bit serious, and also, a bit fun.
Come and participate in our Shakeout activity on Oct. 16 at
10:16 am.
We also received some good news today. e City of Hemet
Fire Department is reviving the CERT (Community Emergency
Response Training) program. More information will follow.
