The African Heritage Connection Club (AHCC) celebrated the season with its first old-fashioned Fall Social in September. Delicious cuisine was provided by the SLCC's own Chef Lala. Great entertainment was provided by the legendary Mr. Charles Jackson aka DJ REMEMBA. It was an afternoon filled with fun, dancing, and socializing, and a time for photo-ops with friends and new acquaintances. Several prizes were won by those in attendance. We had the pleasure of Ms. Gwen Williams, RN introducing Marybell Transportation Services, a nonemergency service for seniors and disabled (MarybellTransportation.com / (909) 491-3217). Join us on Oct. 25 at the 'Art is Healing Paint Workshop,' a joint event sponsored by the AHCC, The Black Arts Museum, African American Family Wellness Advisory Group, and Black America Resource Directory.
