From Courtney, the publisher: In September, I went to Hawaii with my family. Right before we left, I bought a travel watercolor kit on a whim, thinking it would be fun to paint with the kids. I've never painted with watercolors. I had no idea what I was doing — it was very different than painting with acrylics, where you can cover up mistakes. Watercolor mistakes kind of float around, bleeding into the rest of the painting. But I was in Hawaii, at the beach, and thought I'd try it. I painted the beach first (top photo). The next morning, the sunrise was so pretty, I painted that (second photo). Finally, the moon gave a show so, you guessed it, I painted that (third photo). Today, I decided to try painting the roses that were on the Lifestyles cover in February (below). I know they're not masterpieces but I'm kind of excited to have a new hobby. I have a lot to learn about the medium and will take a couple of courses at YouTube University. I think 2026 will be my year to push out of my comfort zone. What new thing are you learning? Oce _____________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________ Tic Tac Toe Our newly-formed Tic Tac Toe Group has grown to over 100 members! We enjoy getting together for this challenging, thought-provoking past time. It's a battle of wits that takes place every Wednesday from 9 am to 4 pm in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. Bring a sack lunch because we don't break for food! There are two five minute bathroom breaks — one at 11:32 am and the second at 2:04 pm — so plan accordingly. We also utilize a timer limiting players to no more than 15 minutes to study the board. If you are new to the game or haven't played in awhile we encourage you to study some YouTube videos on the strategy and history of the game. There's a good one produced by National Geographic that is in five parts (10 hours total and worth every minute).
