| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | NOVEMBER 2025 | 65 The RV Club sponsored a rally at Jackson Rancheria RV Park in Jackson, CA. Overall it was a great success. There were 23 rigs in attendance and three couples who stayed at the Jackson Rancheria Casino. Activities included Monday's baseball games, officiated by Jim and Lyn Ball. The winning team "Oldies But Moldies" consisted of Colin and Robin Pay, Richard and Sandi Fetterman, DeWayne and Ria Taylor and cleanup hitter Steve Martin. This team sand bagged the rest of us by scoring just one run in the first game, but went on to score 50 more in the next two games. Jim and Lyn, along with Cindy and Joe Cross, did a great job of keeping the games moving and fun, assisted by the use of Jim's trusty whistle. On Tuesday, several people went to Black Chasm Cave in Volcano, CA, saw some very interesting sites taking 163 steps up and down to see it all. Also on Tuesday, our putting contest resulted in Brenda and Don Day, Tom Fredrickson and Leon Fikse winning, with Brenda Day, Dan Cardella, Randy Miller, and Bob Schive having hole-in-one shots. The greens at SLCC are no match for those at Jackson … faster, and with more undulation than a state 5 sea. Wednesday was appetizer potluck night and horse racing to bet on their favorite horse. Those that bet on Terminator went home crying, as it would hardly get out of the gate. Lyn Ball's coaching efforts to get him riled up were unsuccessful. On Thursday, a group rode pedaled with power assist rail cars. It rained almost the entire time of the ride, but they were provided rain parkas that kept the upper body somewhat dry … but they were still soaked. Looking forward to the rest of 2025 and into 2026, we have our Christmas Party on Dec. 7 in the South Clubhouse. Yuma is a non-sanctioned rally, meaning no trail boss or committee, so you're on your own. The end-of-year party we want to be there for is on March 27, so schedule to go around that date. RV Club WWW (Water Weights Workout) Come join us at South Clubhouse indoor pool or outside while it's still warm enough for water aerobics. We meet Monday through Friday at 4 pm.
