Summit Renovations Update
There is something truly special about November. From the
earthy scents to the fall breezes, this season evokes nostalgia
and wonder. For the Facilities Committee, November marks the
completion of renovations to The Lodge and The Summit.
The renovation process began at the end of 2023, beginning a
busy 22-month journey. During this time, the Facilities Committee
met monthly, often lasting three hours or more. These meetings
involved thorough reviews of RFPs, contracts, and extended debates
leading to final decisions. Once the committee reached conclusions,
the process moved to the Finance Committee, which brought a new
round of extended discussions. The final step was presenting the
project to our Board of Directors for approval. The entire process
was lengthy and was further complicated by the scheduling and
timing of the actual renovation work.
Looking forward, we invite you to check next month's article,
where we will share photos and more details about the renovation
journey from start to finish.
Here are some glimpses of our current work at The Summit. The
building is being painted inside and out, and the pool area is being
resurfaced. By the time you receive the November Breeze magazine,
you will be able to enjoy the newly renovated area!
The Facilities Committee wishes everyone a wonderful
