44 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2025 Old School Dance Step back in time and groove to the classic beats with us! This club brings a nostalgia-packed evening filled with music, movement, and memories from days when we were young with music from the 70s! Join us on the fourth Thursday of every month at The Lodge Ballroom from 3 to 5 pm and let the good times roll. We will also educate you about the history of those old-school songs we all know and love. It's not only about dancing and loving every minute, but also it's about understanding the roots and stories behind the music that shaped an entire generation. For more information, contact Willa Harris at (951) 550-3453. ~ Willa Harris, willaharris89@gmail.com Perhaps you have been wondering what our Birding Club is all about. This might be especially true if you saw our cart in the 20th Anniversary Parade. Admittedly, we were being as frivolous as we could be, trying to draw attention to our group. In reality, we are a loosely-knit bunch of people who all share a love of being outdoors and of observing the non-human life around us. When we are outside we try to be aware of our surroundings, looking and listening all of the time. Some of us carry binoculars, some carry cameras, and some just walk and look. Many of us have bird feeders in our yards and enjoy seeing our feathered friends up close and personal. We have varying levels of knowledge and experience, and we all learn from each other. Although the members of the Birding Club through the years have identified roughly 140 species of birds at Four Seasons, most of us prefer just to take note of birds on our monthly walks rather than keep official lists. For anyone who wishes to be on record with their findings, the eBird app is an excellent resource. Most of us use the Merlin app to help identify the birds we are hearing and seeing. The photographers in the group are very helpful in the identification of birds we have not clearly seen. We enjoy hearing about the birds other members have seen in their yards, or on their travels, and to see the pictures our photographers have taken. While bird watching is often a solitary activity, doing it with a group means more eyes to see and more ears to hear. Why not give it a try? The Birding Club walks the trails as a group on the first Saturday of the month. We gather at 8 am by the Potrero Creek sign at the edge of The Lodge parking lot. We walk at a leisurely pace, taking time to see as many species as we can. Please feel free to join us. We love to see new faces. If you have any questions, please call or text me. ~ Genie Cooper, (269) 930-0310 Birding CLUB
