A few things to mention about the 2025 season of bocce is to compliment the folks that helped bocce to be fun and successful. Those players volunteering helped the club to be successful and we need to show how much they were appreciated. Of course, all our players at different times of the playing schedule will volunteer, but some have been outstanding and deserve a kudos from all us players. John O'Connor has been a volunteer for the club for many years. He has helped with setting up the bocce courts each Sunday, helping to maintain the courts, and has taught and helped players for many years. Dan Ramos has been there to host and prepare those terrific BBQ Dinners that all of us enjoy. He has gone beyond the regular BBQ and has prepared a fantastic menu that has spoiled all of us that refuse to eat just a plain hamburger. And our last player to give many thanks is Orville Ellingworth, who has been our bocce scheduler for many years. Without his many variations of schedules needed thru the years, he has mastered any possible configuration to make bocce playing seem easy for the players. Please give them a huge thank you, they are pictured along with this article. ~ Ross Brunetto, Bocce Chairperson (951) 926-8295 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | NOVEMBER 2025 | 31 Horseshoes We have a few people interested in playing horseshoes. There is a horseshoe league that plays on Wednesday mornings at 8 am at different locations around Hemet. We practice Saturdays at 8 am. Bocce Billiards Club If you like the game of pool and would like to meet and play like- minded players, please join us in the Billiards Room on Tuesdays from 9 am to 12 noon. The club participates with the Hemet Valley Pool Club; we host and travel to other 55+ communities and have tournaments with other teams. The game of choice is 1-15, it is a form of 8 Ball and it is a lot of fun. We are also interested in enlisting a few more players for our club. If this interests you, please come on out and join us for a morning of billiards. ~ Art Martel, Team Captain, (909) 973-8208 We are a friendly group! If you are interested in learning about tennis and getting started playing, or it's been awhile since you last played, please join us. Folks are on the courts most mornings, 9 am in colder weather and 8 am when it's going to get warm! Tennis Club Wow, it's November already. Where has this year gone? The holidays are approaching fast. Hopefully there will be lots of time with family and friends ahead for you – time with lots of good food. Now would be a good time to get a head start against all those holiday calories. Walk Fit Class is a good way to start. A full hour of aerobic walking burns about 350 calories. (Three times a week is 1,050 calories.) The class consists of nine different Leslie Sansone "Walk Fit" DVDs. The easy-to-follow routines are set to music with varying tempos. The complete class is four miles, but you can come late or leave early to shorten your routine and work at your own level. A few of the DVDs incorporate resistance bands (always optional). Some class members add light hand weights for added strength training. Stop by and give us a try. New members are always welcome, both men and women! Class Schedule: Mon., Wed., Fri. from 7:45 to 8:45 am in The Lodge Ballroom. Class is free! For more information, contact Karen Tuvim at (316) 260-0847. Walk Fit
