A Suggestion Box is in the Clubhouse Lobby for residents who have suggestions or ideas for improvements you'd like the Board to consider. These suggestions are collected on a weekly basis by HOA staff and submitted to the Board of Directors for their review and consideration. It is very important for you to put your first and last name if you are asking a question, seeking assistance, or requesting clarification, so that you may be contacted with a response. 4 | THE COLONY NEWS | NOVEMBER 2025 | GENERAL BOARD MEETING HIGHLIGHTS: SEPTEMBER 18, 2025 Highlights are a condensed dra of the Open Session minutes. Aer review and approval by the Board at the next meeting, the minutes will become ocial. Changes to the "Highlights" may occur. A complete copy of the approved minutes is available in the HOA Oce. Majestic Asset Management: President Dalfonso informed the members that we are still awaiting the Writ of Execution from the Clerk to proceed with the foreclosure of the golf course. Once the Writ is received and recorded, it will then be forwarded to the Sheriff. The Sheriff will then provide a foreclosure date. Golf Course Update: Although revenue has increased, the golf course has incurred higher insurance and maintenance costs. Overall, revenue is up 3%, and rounds played are up 12% compared to last year. The ponds have been treated for algae and mosquitoes, and tree trimming has begun and will continue over the next three months. The tee-boxes and sand traps need improvement, while the greens are currently in good condition. Bosworth vs e Colony et al: The Association has received payment for attorney fees related to the Bosworth vs. The Colony litigation. AB130/Article 8 Update: The Board is currently reviewing AB130 and the effect of the legislation on Article 8 – Fines and Penalties. Parking Lot Mailbox Replacement: PCM Office Manager Kimberly Evans informed the members that she is communicating with U.S. Postal Service staff to have the mailbox that was removed from the Clubhouse parking lot, replaced. The supervisor at the Los Alamos Post Office stated he would investigate the matter. September 2025 Golf Course Subsidizing Request: The Board approved the September 2025 golf course subsidy in the amount of $46,499. Part of the subsidy will be used for tree trimming expenses. Treasurer's Report: The Board unanimously approved the unaudited Treasurer's Report for July 2025. Total Operating, Reserve Liabilities, and Equity were $6,184,000. 18.4 Mosquito Netting, Final Adoption: The Board adopted new rule 18.4 - Mosquito Netting, that allows residents to install mosquito netting around their patio covers. 15.6 Portable Shade Coverage, Final Adoption: The Board adopted 15.6 Portable Shade Coverage, that allows the portable shade coverage to be used during social events lasting no more than 72 hours, twice a month. President Bruce Dalfonso – Farewell Address: President Dalfonso thanked his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, each Board Member individually, the Committees, Management, his wife Lori, and the members for all the support he received while serving on the Board of Directors. Secretary Dave Matteucci – Parting Remarks: Secretary Matteucci thanked the Board and the community for their support while he was on the Board. Suggestion Box
