the big day arrives, he gets lots
of presents including a lovely
one from his aunt that his
mother just adores. But what about the BB gun? Based on semi-
autobiographical stories by Jean Shepherd.
Our Wednesday Matinee will be Dec. 10 at 2 pm for a special
with Jack in Tim Burton's, e Nightmare Before Christmas.
Halloweentown is a fantasy world populated by various monsters
and supernatural beings associated with the eponymous holiday.
Jack Skellington, the well-respected Pumpkin King, leads the
town in organizing its annual celebrations. is year, Jack grows
tired of the same routine and longs for something new. Upon
discovering trees containing doors to other holiday-themed
worlds, Jack stumbles through the one leading to Christmas Town
and is fascinated by the unfamiliar holiday. Aer several futile
attempts at nding a way to rationally explain Christmas, Jack
decides to "improve" the holiday instead. Can Christmas be saved

December is always the worst month
for military service. The surprise attack
on Pearl Harbor will always remind us
that vigilance never takes a holiday. At
least with modern communication we can
stay in contact and reminisce about times
when we were separated from our families.
