| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | DECEMBER 2025 | 35 ICC Dinner Dance Club Friendship Club The ICC Dinner Dance will be Fri., Dec. 19 in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. It will be our last dinner of 2025. We will celebrate our Christmas ICC Dinner Dance. This year's dinner features a three- course meal served buffet-style, topped with a delicious dessert. American Made will entertain us throughout the evening with a variety of music. We celebrate monthly birthdays and anniversaries and hold a raff le during the evening. Raff le tickets are $5 for six. There will be many prizes to win this month. So bring your wallet and take a chance! Our Dinner Dance is an evening with camaraderie, tasty food, and great music. There's excitement as people mingle, greet friends, laugh, and dance. If you haven't experienced ICC, we encourage you to join us and see for yourself. The dinner costs $35, including tax and gratuity. Guest dinners are $37. Doors open at 5 pm, and dinner begins at 6 pm. Membership dues for 2026 remain at $25. These dues help fund the monthly bands that entertain us. We invite new members to join and current members to renew. Come enjoy friendship, fun, and be part of our ICC family. The sign-up for the December dance is Thurs., Dec. 4 at 4 pm at the South Clubhouse. Sun Lakes residents who haven't been members before can take advantage of a try-before-you-buy opportunity. The Friendship Club, one of the oldest clubs in Sun Lakes, presented its last show in November. The club brought Las Vegas and Broadway entertainment to Sun Lakes every month for over 30 years. Combined with rising costs and dwindling membership, the club has closed its doors. Friendship Club was started in 1995 by Roz and Burt Feldman. It was originally set up as a dinner club with entertainment afterward. At its peak, it had about 1,200 members, and some of the more famous entertainers did one show in the afternoon and another in the evening. A few of the more famous entertainers over the years included Debbie Reynolds, Deana Martin, Vicki Lawrence, Charo, Anna Maria Alberghetti, The Inkspots, Pia Zadora, Lucie Arnaz, Florence LaRue and the 5th Dimension, and Lorna Luft. Several years ago, when a member died, he left a bequest of $30,000 to the club with the provision that his three "lady friends" would always have seats together at all shows. His donation helped keep the club af loat in the lean years after COVID. There have been many volunteers over the years who have helped the club run seamlessly. This year, the Board of Directors was made up of President Charlie London, Vice-President Sherry Pritikin, Secretary Sue Abel, Treasurer/Membership Chair Pam London, Program Chair Susan Fitzpatrick, Seating Chair Duane Fink, and Historian Bernice Schoen. Other helpers involved with each production included Mary Flynn, Linda Vieira, Darleen Moxon, Diane Stone, Cheryll Stone, Dave Klaus, John Treichler, Georgeanne Shuey, Betty Ferber, Evelyn Hawkins, Marlene Moore, Jim Ash, Patty Barille, Pat Pinz, and Carol Willis. October anniversaries include Carol and Mike Rhine and May and Duncan Lawrie October birthdays include Ralph Yates, Alfonso Felix, Diane Avina, and Cli Leone
