What better way to kick off December than with a good
old-fashioned White Elephant Gift Exchange! "Holidaze" are
great fun and so is our theme for December's TGIF. Let's get
creative and celebrate! In lieu of 'purchasing' raffle tickets
for commercial prizes, bring a wrapped gift, receive a ticket
and get in on the Exchange Fun! Who knows, some gifts may be so
appealing that we might even incorporate the 'Three Times Around'
Rule. (Not familiar? All the more reason to join in the fun on our last
TGIF of 2025…) You must bring a gift in order to participate.
November's Thanksgiving theme was great fun as these photos
illustrate. Sue Watt and Lonnie Elms won Best Table Decoration with
these beautiful turkey plates, sharing in the prizes of See's Candies
Gift Cards. The Raffle Prizes were as abundant as a successful
harvest, and Francine Robo & Linda Culton even decorated Karen
Brown!
On Fri., Dec. 5 doors open at 5 pm for gift displays and raffle ticket
exchange, buffet potluck positioning
and table set-ups. Your potluck dish,
salad, appetizer or dessert should be
enough to share with 8-10 people or
you are welcome to bring your own dinner if
you don't wish to participate in the shared menu items. Either way,
do plan to BYOB, plates, napkins and utensils. Following dinner,
we will begin the Gift Exchange, and then rock the night away with
karaoke under the expert guidance of Russ Brown.
If you are new to our community (or been here a long time and
wonder what is TGIF?), c'mon down. You will not be disappointed!
