| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | DECEMBER 2025 | 29 The Halloween Golf Cart Parade with the pre-parade line up was held on Halloween Day. The parade is always a big hit with the community. Some of the cart decorations and driver costumes were amazing. Lots of people showed up for a preview and a closer look at the golf cart decorations and driver costumes. Linda Negrete and Donna McLaughlin did an excellent job hosting the welcome table. What the parade lacked in terms of the number of carts was more than offset by the decorations and costumes and the enthusiasm of residents as the parade went by their homes. Flag Angels: The Flag Angels get a bit of relief, just Veterans Day and Pearl Harbor Day. Last month I related that the Board had approved the purchase of new flags for the entire community (1,600 flags). The new flags made their debut for Veterans' Day! The Angels celebrated turning in the old flags and receiving the new flags. About two years ago I started to highlight each of the "Flag Angels" in the Herald. I also pointed out a common characteristic that all Angels seem to share: an elevated level of involvement in the community. The Flag Angels are a perfect illustration of this phenomenon. They put up about 1,500 flags 11 times a year, and yet they are, or have also been, on the Board of Directors, on the Social Committee, on the Access Committee, on the Public Facilities Committee, President and multiple elected officers of the Golf Club. Well, you get the idea: I would have to list almost all our committees and clubs. This month's highlighted Angel is Robin Fournier (photo above). She has been a Flag Angel for three years, placing flags in front of nearly eighty homes. Robin has been part of the Four Seasons Hemet community since the summer of 2021. She volunteers for: Readers Theatre, Vintage Voices, PAWS, Karaoke, Drumheadz, Piano Club, and Jazz @ Four Band. The next time you see Robin give her a well- deserved "thank you!" The Flag Angels ranks are constantly changing. We have lost several angels due to assorted reasons. I have used up the substitutes and need some volunteers to take a route. If anyone is interested in being a Flag Angel, please contact me at (951) 973-4149, or email me at mikemcla43@aol.com. Submitted by Mike McLaughlin, Golf Cart Club/Flag Angels Golf Cart Club
