| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | DECEMBER 2025 | 5 By Tracie Rodgers "Purpose Doesn't Have an Expiration Date" That phrase recently caught my eye, and it resonated deeply — not just for my own life, but for the meaning behind my work. I know firsthand the power of volunteering. As a young adult, I was on my own, and the holidays often reminded me of the things I didn't have growing up. One year, I was invited to help a service organization sort toys for something called Operation Santa. Accepting that invitation changed the course of my life. Soon after, I was recruited to help deliver the gifts we'd sorted. I'll never forget those moments — delivering what were, in truth, some pretty modest toys, and yet seeing how sincerely grateful the children and families were to receive them. For the first time in my life, I felt deeply grateful for everything I did have, big and small. That experience awakened something in me. It connected my natural talents to a purpose: improving the community I've lived and worked in for the past 30 years. Over the years, I've managed large teams of volunteers and learned how mutually rewarding those relationships can be. I've even raised my son to have a heart for giving back. Here at Four Seasons, we're blessed with so many opportunities to volunteer … and we never check your ID (wink). Our community volunteers have come together once again to offer a wonderful lineup of holiday activities right here at the Four Seasons. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and see you in the new year!
