| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | DECEMBER 2025 | 7 Looking Back on the Capital Improvement Committee's First Full Year It has been a busy year for the Capital Improvements Committee! Once the committee was approved by the Board, committee founders began interviewing interested candidates and selecting people with a vision of what might be — not just what exists today. Up until now, the Facilities Committee has done the hard work of inspecting and noting repairs for our Four Seasons Lodge and amenities. Over the last 20 years, they have done an excellent job. However, times and needs have changed, and will continue to change as new residents move in. Just as we remodel and modernize a kitchen or a bathroom in our home, it's time to think about modernizing some Four Seasons amenities to better fit both our current and future community. Doing this not only improves the facilities for today — it also enhances property values for all of us. The CIC's mission is not only to update and add new amenities to our common areas but also reevaluate how public space is used throughout Four Seasons. Some of our amenities like the gym, arts and crafts room, and even the game room could use more space. The question, how can we do this without having to spend too much money? A good example is the computer room. Twenty years ago, when the community started, many people used our shared computers. Now with the use of cellphones and laptops, very few use them. So, it's a good time to consider other uses for that room. We frequently need room for meetings, gatherings, cards, and other events that are too small for the Ballroom. By turning the computer room into a multipurpose room, we effectively expand our Lodge without having to do any construction. Before the CIC was chartered, consideration wasn't given to how Four Seasons could evolve to address the challenges of the future. Now that it's here and functioning, we can look forward to changes and improvements beyond repair and replacement in our Four Seasons amenities. Capital Improvements Committee
