Anything you do in the front, side, or rear of your property, needs an application. Exceptions include trimming trees and routine maintenance. You need a HIA if… • You plan to paint, even the same color. (Behr color names are not the same as Sherwin Williams color names. Tell your painter to check Home Depot Solera colors and then match their paint company color to Solera colors - very important.) • You remove or plant new trees, shrubs, or bushes (front, rear, or side yards). • You install new sod or articial turf. • You install Quick connect, Generac generator, solar panels, or solar powerwall. • You pour concrete, add mow curbing, or create a block-type wall. • You add mulch or rocks to any area. • You install a roll-up screen or Sunsetter. • You add pavers, paint or stain driveway, or change your walkways. • You replace your roll-up garage doors. • You add accents or cover windows on your garage doors. • You replace your gutters or add bird deterrent spikes. • You add or replace outside (coach or decorative) lights or address number xture. • You install a agpole. • You install screen doors or replace doors, windows, or solar screens • You install a patio cover or shed. • You add a room or change the structure of your home. Residents have been required to redo some projects that cost them monetarily. Fill out the HIA before you begin your project. When your project is completed, RETURN YOUR PERMIT to the oce. A DRC member will inspect your project to see if you have done what your application says. If you have not been contacted, your permit is approved.
