Volunteering Opportunities Volunteering is another way to help: • Become an Emergency Response Team (ERT) member, and you will be a "First Responder" during a disaster in OHCC. • Serve as a Safety Coordinator and help others in our community be prepared for a disaster. Share your emergency contact information with your neighbors. Neighbors cannot help you, nor can you help them, if you keep everything a secret! • Join the SERT Board of Directors: We need new Board members to learn the ins and outs of the organization and to strategically prepare for emergency situations. • Support Groups: Both groups support you and SERT. • Family Caregivers: Provides a needed connection for those in need of support. • Helping Hands: Loans used crutches, canes, wheelchairs, walkers, and more. The Board met in executive session on Oct. 28 and Nov. 10 and discussed contract and legal matters. Your Master Board is elected by you to work together to conduct the business affairs of the Association. This is a tall task, one that your volunteer Board takes to heart. We get many thanks throughout the month from so many of you. You should also know that I see a Board that will continue to look for ways to improve our communication with individuals and the community as a whole. As a new Board with many priorities, I know there is resolve to continue our work to make things as open and transparent as possible. By moving forward deliberately, listening carefully and respectfully to others, and doing our due diligence before acting, we are working together to make our paradise even more enjoyable. Thank you.
