Our December entertainment was Lori and Lisa. As much as they've sung for us in the past it still sometimes amazes me to hear their incredible musical blend. They thrilled us with their regular songs that we love so much, along with a number of Christmas favorites. They were clearly having fun and it was contagious! Some of their songs were: Cotton Fields, Boardwalk, Country Roads, Crazy Little ing Called Love, Winter Wonderland, Rockin' Around e Christmas Tree, and I Heard It through e Grapevine. I received lots of reminders from those in attendance how much "we" love these two fabulous singers. Thank you, Lori and Lisa. The 80s Club is for residents near or over 80 years of age along with their spouses, no matter their age. Remember, I do not check ID and I know we have some members still in their 70s and we like that, too! We also have many men in attendance which seems to surprise some. Our events are always on the first Saturday of the month and begin at 3 pm. We start with a brief meeting and announcements, then entertainment with the meals beginning by 3:45 pm. Come once for the price of the meal ($20) to see if you'd like to join and then pay dues for your second visit. Get your checks to Donna Harrington at 5393 Riviera for our Feb. 7 event by Feb. 1. There is a box on Donna's front porch labeled 80s Club for your checks. No reservations will be accepted after the deadline. If you are mailing in your check, we must have it in by the deadline date and make sure your phone number is on the check. Also, please give us the name of any guests you are paying for and bringing. People begin arriving at 2:30 at the South Clubhouse to get checked in and get their seats, and the program starts at 3 pm. Meals are $20 per person and dues of $10 per person for 2026 are now due if you haven't already paid them.
