| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JANUARY 2026 | 57 Happy New Year! 2026 stretches out before us with endless possibilities. It's just like standing on the first tee, looking out at the beginning of a round. You're "even par" with a fresh start, excited for the possibilities and ready to face the challenges and the victories of a new round. And just like the resolutions you make to lose weight, stick to the budget or shower more often, make the resolutions that are easy to keep and will last throughout the year … join the Sun Lakes Men's Golf Club and enrich your life by playing more golf and making new and lasting friendships. The upcoming year will be the best year for golf in a long while. Are you a member of the Men's Club who's not playing in tournaments we have? Where are you? Come on out, we're having fun. This year the Men's Club Board has scheduled many social and fun tournaments that are perfect for your participation. The ever popular "Beef and Brew" tournament returns with three new events, along with more "pick your partner" events so you and your buddy can take part and have fun. Is your schedule full? Lots to do? Working still? No problem. We have two tournaments per month one on Wednesday and one on Saturday to conveniently fit into your schedule. The month of December had great events for us with the Jack Dutton Tournament of Champions and then finished off the year with the fun and ever popular "Safari" tournament laid out and organized by Woody Catalano. Speaking of the Tournament of Champions, we want to thank new member Steve Roberge of Rotolo Chevrolet for providing us with Coffee and Doughnuts to start our morning off. Upcoming tournaments for the month of January we have scheduled: Wed., Jan. 7: Four-Man Scramble (ABCD computer draw). This is a great way to meet new friends in a fun to play format. Sat., Jan. 17: One-Man Scramble. If you're a fan of being able to take a mulligan, you'll really enjoy this format. So Happy New Year! We're "even par" right now, but let's go after some "birdies" and make it the best year of golf ever.
