44 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JANUARY 2026 The December Cars & Coffee was met with nice, sunny weather. The Porsches were well-represented with four beautiful examples. The Beaumont Four Seasons Veterans Car Show was in November. The weather was perfect and we had over 50 cars and trucks entered. We were entertained by Joe And The Forgettables and DJ Dave Rohrbacker. The Bistro provided breakfast burritos and hot dogs. The Roosevelt Ice Cream stood out with refreshing ice cream. There were some outstanding raff le prizes, including a Morongo Casino dinner and one-night stay package, a Weber BBQ smoker donated by Rocky Shaw, and many more prizes. Of course, the car show could not have been as successful without the help of Pam Morales, Linda Supernaw, Lisa Jaso, Diane Martinez, MJ Newcomer, Nan Wiecek , judges Rocky Shaw, Joe Martinez, Joe Cerrillo, Bernie Newcomer, and Cindy Graves along with her amazing staff. Have a happy new year! ~ Frank Morales Cars & Coffee As reported by one of our local news providers, the Beaumont Unified School District (USD) purchased Emergency Radios for their new communication system. All the District campuses, comprised of Calimesa, Banning, and Beaumont, are now connected in the event of a crisis. According to Serenity Junge, Beaumont USD Risk and Safety Director, "In the event of an emergency, cellphones can become overloaded, sometimes making it impossible to place a call. Our emergency radios allow us to immediately communicate with school sites without needing to rely on cell towers. It's also faster. Click a button and we're immediately talking to every school." Beaumont USD Risk and Safety Technician Albert Nolasco was instrumental in much of the legwork for the radio system. "This project took months of work and still continues. We worked with Motorola to conduct heat studies, installed radio repeaters on rooftops, distributed radios, and conducted the first District-wide test of the radios during the 2025 Great California Shakeout," Nolasco said. Each school has a minimum of three Motorola XPR 3500 radios, with enhanced safety features including 28 hours of battery life, instant push-to-talk communications, and the ability to remotely activate a radio if an employee is unresponsive. Our Four Seasons at Beaumont Amateur Radio Club is for anyone interested in radio communication and technology, and who is willing to use these tools to help other residents of our community in times of need. We have our weekly informational Nets (on the air meetings) each Wednesday at 5:30 pm on frequency 145.645 MHz. Four Seasons at Beaumont residents are welcome and encouraged to check into these Nets after regular roll call as a visitor. Our monthly in-person meetings are on the last Friday of each month at 10 am in RCN Room #3. Our next meeting will be Friday, Jan. 30. Anyone is invited to join us, find out what we are about, and become a member. Please visit our website at www.w6fsb.org. ~ Henry ciesielski, hwciesielski@yahoo.com Amateur Radio Motorola XPR 3500
