46 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JANUARY 2026
Winter has often been the time for
surprises on the battlefield. Washington
rowed across the Delaware River to attack
the Hessians. Germans attacked Bastogne.
Chinese forces invaded the Chosin Reservoir
and North Korea surprised American forces
with the Tet Offensive. For military forces
there is never a holiday to relax.
For Four Seasons Beaumont Veterans
Club, the date for our meeting is the fourth
Thursday, also the date of American Forces
landing at Anzio. We will meet at 10 am in
the RCN. ~ Len Tavernetti, ltavernetti@

Crown Divas November event was
decorating Christmas trees. Talented crafter
Lady Glitter displayed all the materials from
which we could pick and choose to decorate
our trees. With no time to waste for a fun
project like this, we quickly got to work.
Some chose miniature ornaments and leaves
with glitter with which to start. There were
colored bows and strings. Ribbons and
small pine cones were also used. Holiday
music, excitement, laughter, and enthusiasm
could be heard throughout the room.
We took a short break for refreshments
and the Divas sang happy birthday to Lady
Cynthia and Sugar Mama. We continued
decorating our trees and after exchanging
ideas with each other we became even
more creative. Some Divas were diligently
decorating their trees. When I was going to
take their photo one playfully told me, you
can take my picture but I'm not going to look
up. Each tree had its own personality like
the lady who created it.
When all the trees were decorated we
made a circle and each Diva walked to the
middle and showed off their beautifully
decorated Christmas tree.
In December, we joined together for
a Christmas breakfast and cheer. The
Crown Divas wish everyone happy
holidays. ~ Irma Romero, (626) 733-3019,
