FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JANUARY 2026 61 Our club certainly felt the holiday spirit and we chose to end this year in a merry way. During November and December, we hosted a few sets with delicious food, tasty beverages, and very festive music. We had a ball! Great fun, camaraderie, and fellowshipping was had by all who came out. Our club continues to thrive even as we experience changes. We have lost some veteran members and gained new members over the past few years. Still, we welcome more players, whether new to the game or experienced, to come out and play dominoes with us on Wednesday and Friday evenings. We offer joyful, fun-filled sets where players match their wits and gaming styles while attempting to "domino" — or play their last bone before other players can. There is strategy involved, especially for more competitive players. Still, we can enjoy and do offer relaxing sets where the aim is playing the game, win or lose. Shout-out to our rotating deejays, Pete Antoine, Frank Turner, and Roxanne Williams, for regularly providing the soulful and rousing music at our gaming sessions. The music truly adds to the mellow vibes. Also, shout-out to those players who bring out treats for us to enjoy, keep score during each play, help out with clean up and closing each set; and to Jesse Dimmer, Reggie Fuqua, and Pete Antoine for continually keeping the club together. Last, but not least, shout-out to all the players who come out "rain or shine" to support us and have a great time! So, come on out and join us for an enjoyable evening "slamming bones." The Dominoes Club plays every Wednesday and Friday from 6 until 9 pm in the Game Room. Novice players are encouraged to come out on Wednesday and Friday from 5 to 6 pm to learn the game. For more information, contact Reggie at (951) 743-3594 or Jesse at (714) 474-1365. ~ Roxanne Williams Dominoes Join us for an afternoon of friendship and fun while playing a game of Hand and Foot Canasta. We meet on Thursdays from 12:45 to 4 pm in the RCN Main Room. Table assignments are distributed at 12:45 pm. Each week you may play with someone different, giving you an opportunity to meet new friends and/or to visit with existing friends. We supply the cards, so just bring yourself and a desire to have fun. If you don't know how to play, we are always happy to set up a teaching table — by the end of the afternoon you will have mastered the game. Join us. ~ Pam Morales, pamelamorales26@gmail.com Canasta Hearts We play Hearts every Tuesday at 6 pm in The Lodge Game Room. We welcome new players. If you don't know how to play, we'll be happy to teach you. Seating is done by random card draw. Try your luck at getting all the hearts plus the queen of spades. That takes 26 points off of your score, or, if you choose, adds 26 points to all the other players at the table. The jack of diamonds takes 10 points off of your score. The lowest score wins. It is lots of fun and we look forward to seeing you on Tuesday evenings.
