FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JANUARY 2026 53 Quilting Enthusiasts Welcome to 2026! The Quilting Enthusiasts wish you all a very happy new year. This year is one of excitement and lots of planning for the quilt club. First, we are going to have a few classes for all who want to learn. I will post when the classes will be and what they are. Second, we are having our Fourth Annual Quilt Show, with a stunning raff le quilt. The tickets will be available soon, and we hope to display the raff le quilt in The Lodge Lobby periodically throughout the year so that anyone and everyone can purchase a ticket. Watch for details in the Daily Report. Jeri Sorensen, one of our members, was gifted some fabric with some block assembled. This is the "special quilt" she made from those blocks along with beautiful hand embroidery. As always, we welcome all newbies, wannabes, and anyone who sews and/or quilts to our monthly meetings: The second Thursday at 1 pm in Arts & Crafts Room #2. The third Thursdays are our Sit 'n Sew, which we hope to "kick into gear" this next year. On our Sit 'n Sews any one can come and sew with us. Again, happiest of New Year to one and all. ~ Mary M. Moody-Cox, (808) 430-7469, 4seasonsquilters@gmail.com Craft Group Beginner crafters don't need ideas, they need support to make projects …and our class is just that! Beauty doesn't wait until you're "good enough." It shows up the moment you start creating from the heart. Being a beginner doesn't mean your work has to look basic or boring. In fact, sometimes beginners create the most magical things — because they aren't weighed down by rules or overthinking. When you follow simple steps, trust your hands, and stay open to the process, you'll be amazed at what unfolds. It won't look like anyone else's and that's what makes it beautiful. Your first piece might be a little messy. It might not turn out how you pictured. But it may also turn out WAY better than you expected! No matter what, it will be yours. And there is something deeply special about creating something that didn't exist before you brought it to life. So yes … even as a beginner, you can create something truly beautiful. And you might even discover that you are more capable and creative than you've ever given yourself credit for. Join us on Thursday at 10 am in the Arts & Crafts Room to start the year with creative ideas and fun. If you have any questions, call me at (951) 486-1091. ~ Christi Mason
