FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JANUARY 2026 57 Ladies Putters Unfortunately, the colder weather this past month caused us to cancel several putting days, but that didn't stop us from celebrating our season with our annual Holiday Party and Putting Awards. We'll provide a recap in next month's Breeze. Our new season will start in January so, if there are any gals out there who would like a little challenge in their lives, we invite you to join us and give the Ladies Putting Group a try. This is a low-impact, "high fun and very social" activity and the best part is that no experience is necessary. We have extra putters and balls if you'd like to join us. Our nine- hole putting green is located at The Courts, behind the pool area. Our putting days/times are Mondays at 4 pm and Fridays at 9 am. My wonderful wife gave me a custom fishing rod for my Christmas present. I had to get a fishing reel that matched the rod. I will let you know in the next article if I catch any trout with my new fishing rod and reel. I mentioned in my last article that I was going fishing with my friends and a fishing guide at Diamond Valley Lake. I have a picture showing Eddie, Jessie, and me with some of the fish we caught on that guided trip. We caught a total of 24 fish in the boat. Needless to say, we lost a few; however, that means the next time we go, there will still be fish in the lake to catch. Eddie hooked a fish that bent his rod in half and he ended up losing the fish. It would have probably weighed 25 pounds or more. In my next article, I will tell you how we are doing catching trout. I expect this year to be an excellent trout season. I will also give you the phone number of a fishing guide that we found to be the best in the area. With this guide, all you have to do is show up at the lake, and he will provide everything you need for a wonderful fishing experience. I will also give you the number of a guy who builds custom fishing rods. He does excellent work and is very reasonable with the price of his rods. On one cold November morning, Ladies Putting Group groundskeepers, Phyllis and Elaine gave it their best shot, but the 50˚ weather and the wind got the best of them. e time change and cooler weather didn't deter these gals from coming out and putting. Aer we complete our regular rounds, our "Closest to the pin without going in" competition gives each gal the chance to putt from 30' to a designated hole. Recently, Claudia's putt looked great until it stopped a mere 3" from the hole. Unfortunately, the "designated" hole she was aiming at was the one on the right with the flag.
