| LIFE IN SOLERA | JANUARY 2026 | 3 FROM THE BOARD By Marcia Casem We hope you have a wonderful New Year. Thank you for the support you have shared with the Board during the first half of this fiscal year. We have always tried to put our community first when making decisions. Happy New Year 2026. Below is an update of projects which have been completed or are in the process of being completed since June 2025. The guardhouse has been completely refurbished, inside and out. It has been painted, new cabinets have been installed, new restroom fixtures, window tint removed and new furniture. There have also been new spotlights installed outside for better safety. This was the first time any improvements have been made to this area. The Streets Committee has been working with a contractor from La Belle Marvin, Inc. An area plan has been established to replace/repair the most damaged streets first. The contractor is going to begin obtaining bids in January and the Contract Committee will review these bids prior to board approval. Weather permitting, the project will begin in late March or April. The area plan will not only consider the street condition, but it will also consider our reserve budget set by our reserve analysis for the coming four to five years, or until completion. The fountain Committee has been developing a plan for the Brentwood side of the Clubhouse. They are currently selecting the type of furniture, paint, cushions, etc. and getting a feel for the cost of such items. They have decided to repair and refurbish one of the fountains and the other fountain may be refurbished and have appropriate types of plants added to the two levels. They are creating a warm welcome place to hold different events or just a place to rest during a morning walk. The election calendar has been established. There will be two Board seats open for a new two- year term. The election results will be counted on May 20, 2026. If you are interested in running for the Board, please complete a Candidate interest form. We would like to thank the African American Culture Club for decorating our beautiful Clubhouse for the holidays. They also sponsored the Christmas Tree lighting. We would like to also thank the clubs/groups/individuals who decorated the adorable little trees which lined the Clubhouse hallway throughout the holiday season.
