SOLERA SIPPERS
Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a Merry Christmas
and Happy New Year. The Sippers Club has a great list of events for
this year. But first what you missed if you were not at November
Friendsgiving. Karry and her committee did a great job on games
We had over 95 people attend. Plenty of good food, games and
dancing. Even had a conga line going around the room. December
saw our group go over 100 people. Tell you about next month. Now
for this month we are having a Sipper Bowl Party and a chili-tasting
contest. Kind of a build up to the Super Bowl. Check the f lier for
more details. Hope to see you there. February we are having our
Bingo party and March is our Annual Membership meeting and
dinner party. DJ Blast will provide our entertainment.
I have noted a number of Sippers with bottles of Bourbon on their
tables so I wondered how many bourbon distilleries are in the USA.
Well as of 2023 there were 739 distilleries in the USA which was a
11.6 percent increase over 2022. Kentucky has the most. Wine
is one of the only beverages in the world that is make in virtually
every state. It's one of the few things the world as a whole can agree
on. We'll pour a glass to that. ~ Marty Anderson
