| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | JANUARY 2026 | 5 By Tracie Rodgers It's too hot, it's too cold. It's too bright, it's too dark. It's too loud, it's too quiet. The same event, experienced at the same time — yet described in completely different ways! People are wonderfully diverse, and so are their opinions. That's part of what makes our community special, even if it also makes it a challenge to please everyone. As we share our thoughts, let's all remember to express our opinions constructively and with kindness. Most of our events are organized and run by resident volunteers who generously give their time and energy. The goal is always to create the best experience possible, but perfection isn't always realistic. A little patience and appreciation go a long way. Thank you to JoAnn Sopata and her team of volunteer decorators. Another fabulous display of Christmas trees throughout The Lodge. The Social Committee hosted a fabulous Holiday Home Tour and a New Year's Party for the books. January, brings an Author Talk, Comedy Night, and Martin Luther King Celebration. It seems as if we don't rest! Let's get to it! Thank you for helping make our events enjoyable for all! From Your Activities Director C medy Night! HEADLINER: ACE GUILLEN Ace started his career as a rocker, but now performs regularly at major clubs like the Laugh Factory and countless other venues across the country. Franchie San Pedro has been performing stand-up since 1982 starting at the legendary Comedy Store in Hollywood and has opened for Howie Mandel, and shared a stage with Andrew Dice Clay. He also performs all over the world on military bases. Matt "Wolfie" Wohlfarth has decades of stage experience, was published in Reader's Digest, performed nationwide, and built a reputation for bringing clarity, warmth, and good jokes to audiences everywhere. Joey Gaynor is known for his singing voice and impressions. A regular at the Comedy Store, he has performed with Richard Pryor, the Smothers Brothers, Sam Kinison, and George Lopez.
