6 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | JANUARY 2026 | ARC anks Homeowners in 2025 and Encourages Homeowners in 2026 Members of the Architectural Review Committee (ARC) wish you a very Happy New Year! The ARC's goal is that every homeowner maintains the exterior of their home to the Architectural Standards and Regulations and obtains the ARC's approval for covered external alterations before beginning work. We thank the 217 homeowners who improved the exterior of their homes in 2025 through November at the time this article was submitted, investing an estimated $1,837,200. We appreciate their time and talents to identify, plan, and carry out an improvement, at considerable expense, to improve their home and our community. We applaud the 92 percent of homeowners who did an alteration the right way. There were numerous achievements in 2025 to celebrate, and some opportunities for better compliance by homeowners wanting to improve their home in 2026. The ARC strives to approve an application the first time it is submitted to save the homeowner time and aggravation. In 2025, 28 applications were denied or deferred. In 2026, homeowners should carefully follow the Standards and Regulations. In 2025, 17 homeowners did not receive HOA approval before beginning their project. Most often, this was a homeowner selling their home or a new homeowner. This may not be the first thing on one's mind when moving out or in. In 2026, Management will communicate with homeowners selling their home or new homeowners to make sure they apply for an alteration. In 2025, management brought maintenance issues to homeowners, with some resulting in ARC submissions. In 2026, we expect all homeowners to apply before management asks. After each ARC meeting, an ARC member drives by the homes of homeowners who have reported their completed project to confirm that the work complies with what was approved. In 2025, homeowners did extremely well again… only four homeowners did not comply compared to eight in 2024. In 2026, we expect all homeowners to complete the approved plan or apply for a plan modification before doing work. Our Herald articles contain useful information about making alterations. You may not read our articles every month. A pdf of 2024-25 articles is available on request. We hope you will have a fun, healthy and prosperous 2026, continuing to maintain the high quality of homes in our beautiful community. Architectural Review In the first 11 months of 2025, 221 homeowners invested an estimated $1.8 million in their homes!
