20 20 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | JANUARY 2026 | | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | JANUARY 2026 | Our PAWS Club New Year celebrates the future! We have many exciting goals: projects, programs and events – and we'll be announcing those as they come up. We hope you'll LOVE THEM and want to join in the rewarding opportunities and fun times together! In this edition, I would like to proudly introduce our PAWS Steering Committee – the supporting arm of my role as President: Debbie Katnich, Debbie Stafford and Tami Baginski. This amazing team forms the navigating body of our club as we forge ahead. We hope this foundation drives us forward as members bring their support, passion and contributions to make us a club we are proud of! Debbie Katnich & Jack: Debbie has been a passionate champion and dedicated member of PAWS since its inception as Treasurer and Herald magazine contributor. She is a true friend to PAWS – and a smart cookie - and we are so lucky to have her talents and kind spirit. We bonded when Sweetie Pie first came into my life and have been friends ever since. I rely on her wisdom a great deal! She also is devoted to her role as Haven volunteer, and we enjoy sharing front desk stories. Debbie Stafford & Mr. Pibbles: This picture (at right) perfectly captures the beauty of Debbie's warm heart and loving, gentle spirit. Every team needs a calm, guiding force in the background and she totally fits that bill for PAWS. But don't let that fool you – she works hard for everything she believes in, such as her dedication to her role as Haven volunteer – seen here with Mr. Pibbles, awaiting surgery to repair a damaged front paw. Tami Baginski and Sadie, Loki And Ginger: It's fair to say that Tami "completes us" – she joined our Steering Committee about one week prior to our November BBQ and instantly wowed us with her creative talents, ingenuity and passion. She's beautiful inside and out, as you can see by her idea of what PAWS means: Bringing together our community with like- minded neighbors who have the love and passion for their pets that give us so much unconditional love – and helping our town and beyond to give all animals in need a Second Chance. Because the Rainbow Bridge and heaven can wait. PAWS Club now meets the second Thursday of the month at 2 pm in the Ballroom. See you Jan. 8. ~ Victoria Steidemann, PAWS President For info, call/text PAWS support line at (951) 473-3235.
