| OHCC LIVING | JANUARY 2026 |25
Hope your holidays were happy and
healthy. It doesn't seem possible that we are
at the end of another year. Our regularly
scheduled monthly meeting for January
falls on New Year's Day, and since Do Dues
Day is Jan. 10, we will not meet in January.
Remember that annual dues are still $7.
Come and visit us either in the Hall or the
Sewing Room on Do Dues Day or drop off
your check at the front desk. While you're
in the Sewing Room, sign up for classes or
events!
The Meet and Greet meeting scheduled
for Jan. 22, has been rescheduled for our
February meeting due to a scheduling
conf lict with the Road to California Quilt
Show in Ontario, CA. This is one of the
largest and is Jan. 21 - 24 this year. For more
information go to roadtoCalifornia.com.
Many of our members attend that event
every year, which limits regular member
participation for our scheduled meeting.
More information regarding the Meet
and Greet will follow for new and regular
members.
Beginning with this issue, Sewing Etc.
Club articles will highlight some of the
regular group activities within our club,
starting with quilting. If you need more
information or have questions about
quilting activities, contact Susan Baker,
seesuesew3@gmail.com. There are various
classes and times to learn the craft or just
to socialize while you work on your projects.
Many of our volunteer activities revolve
around this group, including comfort quilts
for children of deployed parents and cradle
quilts for the Woodchucks annual toy drive,
which are donated to military families
at Camp Pendleton. Some members also
attend local Quilting Guilds which offer
classes and retreats to hone their quilting
skills. It's a very active part of the Sewing
Etc. Club. Stay tuned next month for
another featured group within our club!
Please join us for Do Dues Day and the
Meet and Greet to see what's happening in
our very busy and creative club. We look
forward to seeing you soon! Submitted by
