Hello OHCC! Let me begin with sharing my pleasure to serve on the board since 2023. It has been enjoyable to connect with so many residents over the years and talk about the quality of life and friendships we experience here in our OHCC paradise. I will continue to foster this positive attitude, and I am so grateful for our blessings. As you most likely know by now, I have stepped away as President and as a Director on the Master Board. This decision did not come easily. It is based on two primary factors I found necessary to address. First, my love and devotion to my best friend, Patrice, is my number one priority. Taking time away from our life together to give quality time to the affairs of the Association has become a compelling factor in this decision. Our goal is to love and enjoy every day we have left together. Second, without too much detail, I have an underlying health condition that I have recently been advised cannot be resolved without a lifestyle change that prevents my continued involvement on the Master Board. I find this outcome difficult to accept, and asked for the magic pill, but accept what must be. Thank you for understanding, and all the support so many of you have shared with me over the years. It means so much. I am still around and will be a factor in supporting the mission of the current Board to enhance our lives at OHCC. Speaking of the current Board, I truly appreciate the sincerity of their devotion to the Association. Together, we are blessed to have a forward-thinking board that is committed to transparency in conducting their fiduciary duty to make decisions that are in the best interests of the community. I ask you to join me in continued support of their journey with us to make OHCC the best place to live. They will continue to welcome questions and comments, and they will not always satisfy everyone, but know that they are focused, as our elected leaders, on making the best decisions for OHCC. In conclusion, I ask myself how much I appreciate the culture and lifestyle we have enjoyed here at OHCC for so many years. I will not lose sight of this or let doubt cloud my judgment. Please make that your guide in how you value all the volunteers and staff that support OHCC and all the things we take for granted every day.
