A Suggestion Box is in the Clubhouse Lobby for residents who have suggestions or ideas for improvements you'd like the Board to consider. These suggestions are collected on a weekly basis by HOA staff and submitted to the Board of Directors for their review and consideration. It is very important for you to put your first and last name if you are asking a question, seeking assistance, or requesting clarification, so that you may be contacted with a response. 4 | THE COLONY NEWS | JANUARY 2026 | GENERAL BOARD MEETING HIGHLIGHTS: NOVEMBER 20, 2025 Highlights are a condensed dra of the Open Session minutes. Aer review and approval by the Board at the next meeting, the minutes will become official. Changes to the dra minutes may occur. A complete copy of the approved minutes is available in the HOA Office. Majestic Asset Management: The Board received the executed Writ of Sale from the County Clerk's Office, and forwarded the document to the Sheriff 's Office for processing and issuance of a foreclosure date. Annual Committee Meeting – Production and Technology Advisory Committee (PTAC): On Nov. 6, the Board held its annual committee meeting with PTAC. November 2025 Golf Course Subsidy Request: The Board approved the November 2025 subsidy request in the amount of $24,462. Treasurer's Report: The Board approved the unaudited Treasurer's Report for September 2025. As of September 2025, Total Operating, Reserve Liabilities, and Equity were $5,657,000. 5.8.3 Pets – Leashes, 28-Day Member Comment: The Board approved the proposed Rule 5.8.3 language for publication in the January 2026 Colony News Magazine for a 28-Day Member Comment period. Approval of Additional Two Owl Boxes: The Board approved the purchase and installation of two additional Owl Boxes from Barn Owl Boxes for the total amount of $1,182. Request for Purchase of Studio Audio Mixer, Tabled: The Board tabled the purchase of a Studio Audio Mixer for PTAC. Dedicated Pickleball Court: Director Ross presented three options to the Board for a dedicated pickleball court to be created during the renovation of the courts. The Board directed the issue to the Recreation and Fitness Advisory Committee for their review and recommendation. Request to Research Extension of Paddle/Pickleball Shade Structure: The Board approved a request from the Recreation and Fitness Committee to research the specifications and cost for extending the shade structure at the Paddle/Pickleball Courts. Request to Research New Fitness Equipment Purchase: The Board approved a request from the Recreation and Fitness Advisory Committee to research the purchase of new bicep/tricep fitness equipment. New Club for Sanction Request, Guitar Society: The Board approved the Guitar Society to become a new sanctioned club of The Colony. Audit and Tax Preparation for FYE April 30, 2026 and 2025: The Board approved Newman CPAs to perform the Association's audit and tax preparation for the fiscal year 2025/2026, at a cost not to exceed $3,300. Suggestion Box Proposed new rules, or amendments to existing rules, require a 28- day Member Comment period. The following proposed changes to "The Colony Rules and Regulations" have been approved by the Board to begin the general notice (comment) period. Any Member Comments regarding the proposed changes may be emailed to Kimberly Evans at Kimberly.evans@pcminternet.com. Comments on the proposed changes will be submitted to the Board for its consideration. Proposed Rule 5.8.3 - When walking a dog or multiple dogs in the street, the leash must be no more than 6 feet in length, and the dogs must be walked facing oncoming traffic when sidewalks are not available. When walking a dog or multiple dogs in a greenbelt area or a walking path, the leash may be extended longer than 6 feet.
