We started the New Year with a presentation about bird
photography by Mel Moncrief on what it takes to get "the shot." We
learned about camera settings, photo techniques, and what makes a
good photo. We followed-up with a visit to the San Jacinto Wildlife
Preserve to practice what we learned.
This month is our annual outing to the San Diego Safari Park
(free to seniors 65+). To prepare, we will discuss photographing
animals in a zoo and park environment.
If you want to share your love of photography, please join us. We
meet the first Thursday of each month, 6:30 to 8:30 pm, in the RCN
Main Room. Photographers using DSLR, mirrorless, and cell phone
camera of all skill levels are welcome.

50 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | FEBRUARY 2026
Photography Club
A new year of just making beautiful
ceramics is here and we look forward to
starting new projects. Members of our
group have experienced grief as we said
farewell to our beloved Martha Olvero, who
is now with our Heavenly Father. She came
into the classes with some trepidation and
yet made so many colorful pieces to inspire
other classmates. Her warm smile, sense
of humor, and loveable personality has
left a huge impact on us as a family. She
became passionate about her work and her
classy, snappy humor never failed to make
us laugh. If there were keys left behind or
a handbag on a chair, we all said in unison: IT'S MARTHA'S! She
would be so excited about her piece, she forgot everything else. We
will miss her terribly. Please come to class to see what we all shared
with Martha. Fun, laughs, and a little paint. For more information,
contact Loretta Ramsey at (714) 803-6744. ~ Karen Reed
