FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | FEBRUARY 2026 7 By Cindy Graves February is Black History Month and to kick off that celebration, Karen Belcher, at the bequest of the African American Culture Club, will be holding a community "Name That Tune: Motown/ Soul Edition." This is going to be a blast and everyone is invited. No tickets are required, just show up on Friday, Feb. 6 at 6 pm in The Lodge Ballroom. Plan on it being a packed house and arrive accordingly. On Sunday, Feb. 8 at 2 pm in The Lodge Ballroom, Dave Rohrbacker will host our HOA "Big Game" potluck and party. It'll be a fun time as we watch the "Big Game" with neighbors, play some football party games, and eat delicious food and snacks. Bring your team spirit as well as your favorite dish to share. You're welcome to BYOB. We'll have the popcorn popping, cheerleading, and prizes. Plan on coming; we'd love for you to be there! Tuesday, Feb. 10 from 4:30 to 7 pm, the super popular Bistro Bingo is back in The Lodge Ballroom. Christina and Al Gray always make this dinner event a fun time. You get two free bingo cards with your dinner purchase and they always come up with some cool prizes. Everyone is invited. Speaking of the Bistro, last year for Valentine's Day we had a huge Senior Prom on top of the Bistro trying to create one of the most elegant and high-end romantic dinner offerings they have ever done. The evening was wonderful, but a bit much for folks wanting to enjoy both events. This year, we're just showcasing the beautiful Valentine's dinner being offered by the Bistro; stay tuned for all the delicious details. Presale tickets will be required and available the first week of February. We haven't celebrated Mardi Gras for a few years, so here we go! On Friday, Feb. 20, our Mardi Gras Golf Cart Parade starts at 3 pm in The Lodge parking lot. Get your purple, green, and gold on, as we sparkle our way through the neighborhood! Line up is at 2:30 pm, cart decor judging is at 2:45 pm, and parade take-off is at 3 pm. Join us back at The Lodge Ballroom at 5:30 pm for the Dixieland band, Hot Jazz Oasis. Bring your parasols or hankies to wave. We'll choose a Mardi Gras King and Queen, break into the King's cake, and award prizes to the people who find the babies in the cake. We're going to pretend we're on Bourbon Street with beads and bobbles. Being that we are not actually on Bourbon Street, let me remind you that this is not a clothing-optional event. There's no price for admission and no tickets to pick up, just come on down and have a good time with us! Have a fantastic February and let the festivities for 2026 begin!
