18 | OHCC LIVING | FEBRUARY 2026 | My name is CJ Palmer, and I am excited to introduce myself as the new Recreation Director here at Ocean Hills Country Club. I bring over 10 years of experience in Parks and Recreation, with a background that includes recreation supervision, program management, aquatics, sports programming, special events, and senior services. I value building strong relationships and creating welcoming spaces where people feel connected and engaged. I am truly grateful to be here and look forward to getting to know our residents, supporting our clubs and activities, and continuing to enhance the outstanding lifestyle that makes Ocean Hills such a special place to live. On a personal note, I love staying active — whether that's gardening and landscaping, riding my bike, taking a walk or hike, or chasing my three Boston Terriers around. I've been married to my spouse, Jandy, for 25 years. Jandy is a Special Education teacher, and together we have three wonderful children. Our oldest son, 25, recently accepted a new position in Northern California. Our middle child, Chayah, is currently finishing her final semester of college, and our youngest son, Coby, is in his first year of college. If you haven't had a chance to swing by the Clubhouse and say hello, I would love to meet you. We have a fantastic Recreation staff who are here to promote and support all the great recreational opportunities available — helping you socialize, stay active, and thrive within our community. February is a great month to remember the word and action of LOVE. Treating others with respect and kindness truly goes a long way. This month, I encourage everyone to take a moment to uplift one another — whether it's a kind word, a smile, or a thoughtful gesture toward friends, family members, and fellow residents.
