Let's welcome the new year with enthusiasm, good cheer, optimism, the best of health, and lots of impressive and well- intentioned resolutions! The Charity Holiday Home Tour was a success. We had 10 beautifully decorated homes to visit plus The Lodge trees. We raised $2,600 for our charity, Haven Pet Center. Everyone raved about this being the best tour in years. This annual event supports a different local charity each year so please consider showcasing your residence next year. This year's New Years Eve celebration was, in a word - fabulous. What a fun evening for the sell-out crowd who rang in 2026 with "A Night At The Oscars." As promised, upon arrival there was glitz, glamour, and laughter. In fact, the entire evening sizzled with festivities, good wishes, and camaraderie. It does not seem adequate to just say congratulations and thank you to Committee Chair Extraordinaire Judi Lewis and Linda Elliott for their vision and creativity, as well as the endless hours they spent making sure every detail of the evening was perfect. And it goes without saying that a MAJOR thank you is extended to the many volunteers who worked tirelessly to make this event such a success – taking care of everything from set up to clean up. This community sure knows how to work together to create and produce events such as this for its residents. Stay tuned for an announcement of the 2026 New Year's Eve celebration theme so that you make plans and won't be left out of next year's event. Again, thanks to everyone who helped create, organize, set up, clean up, and attend this great event. Dueling pianos returns on Feb. 21. Last year's event was such fun that it is back by popular demand. Tickets are on sale now at The Lodge at a cost of $25 per person. Hurry and get yours before they sell out! Mark your calendar, bring your own refreshments, and get ready to enjoy and participate in a production that is fun, fun, fun. This event is for residents and guests aged 21 or better.
