| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | FEBRUARY 2026 | 7 Gates: Most of our homes have one or more gates. If you would like to install a new gate or change one of your gates, please be aware that prior approval of the Architectural Review Committee (ARC) is required. The number of applications in 2025, while a relatively small number, was twice the number in 2024, 24 vs. 12 applications. The applicable regulations are provided in pages 13 - 14 in the Architectural Standards and Regulations publication. They provide a great deal of f lexibility in what you propose. If you are looking for ideas about what to install, drive around our community and look at what others have chosen to do. You'll see many different designs that add safety and security, but also complement the home's exterior. You should include the following in your application to the ARC: a picture of your home that shows the location of the gate, a picture of the current gate, either a picture or sketch of the new proposed gate, and a detailed description of the new gate's dimensions, color and materials. Membership Change: Paul Lavigne left the ARC on Dec. 31, 2025. Paul became a member of the ARC in October 2023. He offered his services to write the ARC articles in the Four Seasons Hemet Herald magazine. His original approach provided helpful information to homeowners thinking about making alterations and to help them submit complete applications. The ARC greatly appreciates Paul's contributions to the articles and the ARC. Joseph Kozma was appointed by the Board to the ARC effective Jan. 1, 2026. Joe has lived in our community for a year and a half and has an extensive and varied background in law enforcement and community service. We look forward to working with Joe in the new year.
