I'll be honest — this first article of 2026 gave me a little writer's
block. Not because I had nothing to say, but because I had too much
to say. January hit the ground running, and our committees and
clubs wasted no time jumping back in with amazing presentations,
meetings, and events.
One definite highlight this month was the opportunity to meet
with the Mayor of Idyllwild. Let's just say, I might have a little
crush. It was a great moment for connection and community, and a
reminder of how special our community really is.
Looking ahead, the Social Committee is bringing back a crowd
favorite this month — Killer Dueling Pianos. If you've been before,
you already know they always bring the party. If you haven't, trust
me … this is one you won't want to miss.
Next month, we'll be rolling out the Music on the Plaza lineup.
As I write this, it's super cold outside, but just thinking about warm
evenings on the plaza, live music, and neighbors gathered together
sounds pretty amazing right about now.
I also want to send a huge thank-you to the Holiday Décor Team.
They did an incredible job transforming The Lodge for the holidays
— and then came back and made fast work of taking everything
down. Their time, energy, and teamwork do not go unnoticed, and
we are so grateful.
2026 is off to a fantastic start, and I'm excited for everything we
have planned in the months ahead. Thank you all for being part of
such a vibrant and engaged community.
