| THE COLONY NEWS | MARCH 2026 | 3 From the Desk of Bob Miller Erin Go Bragh and Happy St. Patrick's Day! This is my first chance to officially communicate with the majority of my fellow Colony homeowners. First of all, I want to thank those of you who supported my candidacy. I hope to prove that you did not misplace your trust. To those of you who did not, I hope by my actions on the Board that I can earn your support. I come to the Board with no pre-set agenda. As I said during the campaign, there are issues that need to be addressed: Golf Course transition, front gate issues, financial responsibility and better Board communication with homeowners. Resolving these issues will not occur overnight. There may be some of my positions with which you may not agree. But be assured that any position I take will be based on what I believe is in the best interest of the homeowners, which my wife, Jan, and I have been for eight years. We thoroughly enjoy living in The Colony. I bring to the Board many years of experience on varied HOA committees. I am presently Board Liaison to the Architectural Control (ACC) and Landscape Advisory (LAC) Committees. I was a longstanding volunteer on both and enjoyed my membership to the fullest. I know that I can bring a different perspective to them now as the Board Liaison. As Secretary of the Board, I can use my experience on the Finance Advisory Committee (FAC) in approving HOA invoices and, as I did on the FAC, reviewing the monthly HOA Financials. I am also liaison to the Recreational and Fitness Committee. This will be a learning experience for me since I was not previously a volunteer and currently do not partake in many of the recreational opportunities available in The Colony. I mention my HOA Committee involvement because, when openings occur, I invite Colony residents to volunteer for any committee that interests you. There are currently 14 HOA sanctioned committees for which residents can volunteer. A list of them is available in e Colony News Magazine and included on the website. The website includes a short description of their range of responsibilities. These committees give volunteers an opportunity to interact with fellow residents who have similar interests. I was active on my HOA Committees for between four and seven years and I enjoyed my experiences immensely. I have made what I consider long-term friendships while serving on these committees. If homeowners choose to serve on a committee, it allows you the opportunity to better understand and appreciate how the Colony operates. I encourage residents to consider volunteering. Again, I thank you for allowing me to serve on the HOA Board.
