| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | MARCH 2026 | 5 The Capital Improvements Committee (CIC) would like to thank the nearly 300 homeowners who attended and participated in the Jan. 13 Lodge Refresh workshops. There were over 200 survey responses received with many wide- ranging suggestions, comments and concerns. With your input, we now have the task of taking your valued feedback and move forward with the Ballroom. Based on the comments, there are two critical topics that need clarification. First, the project was initiated at this time because of the pending replacement of the Ballroom carpet. There was concern that without an updated Lodge décor palette plan, the $60,000+ investment in Ballroom carpeting would just match the existing Ballroom décor established 20+ years ago and continue incremental décor decisions that resulted in multiple carpet design styles throughout The Lodge. Next, it needs to be clear that the images related to furnishings, room uses and major modifications were only meant to be concepts to consider in the future. It's important that we collectively begin thinking about possibilities for better use of our limited spaces in The Lodge and spa building to better serve a larger number of current and future residents. Outside of the color palettes, the Jan. 13 workshops related to room uses, furnishings, and major renovations (such as the Bistro and theatre) were only meant to share potential ideas and get us thinking ahead; not to make decisions about. As pointed out during the workshops, the project will be in phases with the Ballroom being the first phase, and the only one under consideration at this time. All following phases will be separate and distinct processes and funding packages that will include input from the community and related committees at that point in time. The Board, CIC and others that have provided advanced input for The Lodge Refresh project to date, have done so with an eye toward the future to help keep property values competitive and provide for an updated look and use of our facilities. Change is inevitable. 20 years ago, those who moved to Four Seasons had the most modern amenities of the time. Today, we can't say that. There is a need to update aspects of our facilities to keep up with current trends and technology, while also protecting and honoring the original architectural style and structural integrity. That is the goal. Please stay tuned as the CIC and related sub-committee now get to work on refining the project scope for the Ballroom only, taking into consideration the comments and concerns.
