| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | MARCH 2026 | 11 Now that we've settled into the new year, it's time to stir things up a bit, so don't forget to "spring forward" on March 8 as Daylight Saving Time once again takes effect. At right is a photograph of Social Committee members Mary Swinney and Linda Elliott presenting a check to representatives of Haven Pet Center, the recipient of $2,600 from the proceeds of the 2025 Holiday Home Tour. Thanks to all who allowed their home and decorations to be showcased as well as those who participated to make this donation possible. Dueling pianos once again returned to the community on Feb. 21. This year's event was more fun than ever! The Ballroom was sold out as residents and guests enjoyed the music and the atmosphere created by the talented performers and audience participation. Don't miss the next one. Please welcome Nancy Wisniewski (at left) to the Social Committee. Nancy was born, raised, and married in Pittsburg, PA. She and her husband Greg moved to California shortly after they were married on the advice of her sister-in-law who told them they needed to move west to take advantage of the many opportunities available in California. And just like that they did! They packed their possessions and drove across the country to become Californians. Their first stop was Anaheim, then on to Carlsbad, San Marcos, Escondido, and Murrieta. Their home in Four Seasons was purchased new in 2004. In fact, they took up residence so early in the community's development that the pool wasn't yet completed. Nancy has enjoyed seeing its residents make this such a great place to live. Nancy's profession as a nurse, from which she retired in 2012, took her to several hospitals over the years where she provided patient care. Married in 1971, Nancy and Greg have two daughters who reside in Texas and Arizona, three grandchildren who live in Menifee and Temecula, and two great grandchildren with a third expected this March. Throughout her residency in Four Seasons, Nancy has volunteered in a variety of capacities at the many events produced for residents. Her hobby is reading but her interests range from visiting local wineries, seeing friends, and playing shuff leboard, cornhole, and bocce ball. Our community is indeed fortunate to have someone with Nancy's energy, commitment, talents, and vision participating on the Social Committee and we look forward to her upcoming contributions in this capacity.
