| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | MARCH 2026 | 29 Golf Cart: The Holiday Parade was the last golf cart parade until the Fourth of July Parade. Hopefully, the turnout will be as good for the Fourth of July Parade as it was for the Holiday Parade. As we get closer to July, more information will be made available. Until then, mark your calendar for July 4 at 8:30 am. Flag Angels: The Flag Angels started off the year with f lag postings for MKL Day and Presidents Day. The Angels will get a well-deserved bit of rest; the next postings will not be until Memorial Day, end of May. About two years ago I started to highlight each of the "Flag Angels" in the Herald. I also pointed out a common characteristic that all Angels seem to share: an elevated level of involvement in the community. The Flag Angels are a perfect illustration of this phenomenon. They put up about 1,500 f lags, 11 times a year, and yet they are, or have also been, on the Board of Directors, on the Social Committee, on the Access Committee, on the Public Facilities Committee, President and multiple elected officers of the Golf Club. Well, you get the idea: I would have to list almost all our committees and clubs. The following paragraph highlights two sets of Angels. Last month I highlighted Denise and Bruce Sunderland, but their photo did not make it to the Herald. So, to rectify this oversight, I have included the photo of the Sunderlands (far left) in this issue. And I might add, one heck of a picture. The next Flag Angels that I want to highlight are Rick and Lynn Grimm (above right). Rick epitomizes the "elevated level of involvement." He is also the new president of the Four Seasons Golf Club. His involvement is even more impressive when you consider that they have just moved to Four Seasons after 27 years in San Diego. Their route is Invitational Number 4, 75 homes north of #10 hole. So, if you see Rick and/or Lynn give them a "thank you!" We have lost several angels due to assorted reasons. I have used up the substitutes and need some volunteers to substitute as needed. If anyone is interested in being a Flag Angel, please contact me at (951) 973-4149, or email mikemcla43@aol.com). ~ Submitted by Mike McLaughlin Golf Cart Club Denise and Bruce Sunderland Lynn and Rick Grimm
