66 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MARCH 2026
There are times in your life when the stars just don't seem
to work in your favor. I planned to go fishing four times in
February and I did not go. Bummer!
My birthday is on March 15, so by the time you are reading
this article, I will be 74 years old. I feel very blessed that in all
those years in my life I have gone fishing thousands of times. I
took time out from fishing because I had to go to work to support
my family.
I guess you have figured out by now that fishing is my favorite
sport. Many people have asked me why I like to fish so much.
There are many reasons but I will tell you the top three:
1. You can go fishing by yourself. Sometimes you have to
be alone to figure out how lucky you are to be able to do
things by yourself.
2. You can go fishing with a bunch of different people. I have
fished with family, friends, and complete strangers. I have
met some of the most interesting people in this world.
3. Every fishing trip is a new adventure. I have had epic
fishing trips and times I never caught a fish. Every trip is
different and the unknown is always a new challenge.
Stay safe my friends, and remember fishing is always more
fun when you are fishing with friends and family. ~ Richard
