Happy St. Patrick's Day! I wish each of you a happy and fun day … make sure to wear green! Our next meeting and support group is Thurs., March 19 at 10 am in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. We always meet on the third Thursday of each month. Our guest speaker this month will be Dale Bethel (pictured at left), an experienced Elder Law Attorney. His topic will be the importance of general estate planning. It is important for all of us to review, or create an estate plan, but especially if there is a possibility of a dementia diagnosis or incapacity of any kind looming. Mr. Bethel will also explain how the rules on Medi- Cal have changed this year and how it affects those who got on Medi-Cal when there was no asset test, and now there is an asset test. A question and answer session will follow. Don't forget to drop your loved one off in the Arts & Crafts Room. Our entertainment in the Arts & Crafts Room this month is Dave Obry who also entertained us last month. Dave has been very generous with his time. In April, we are looking forward to Lloyd Friedman who is a new entertainer to our group. Our group is designed to entertain your loved one while you attend the meeting. We play games, do exercises, and do whatever it takes to keep your loved one happy for those two hours while you are at the meeting. No one is forced to participate.
