| OHCC LIVING | MARCH 2026 | 17 RV Club 2026 is looking bright for the RV Clubs travels and adventurers as we welcome our new Board of Directors: Chris Butler, President; Laura Urban, Secretary; Steve Pyle, Treasurer; Sue Pellerito, VP of Membership; Ken Trogdon, VP of Trips; Meddy Carso, VP of Social and John Slayton, VP of RV Lot. Our thanks and appreciation to each and every one of you in advance. Our Do Dues Day hot dog lunch sales were a big hit with the entire community and was the best year ever for serving hungry villagers after their exhaustive tour of Abravanel Hall. A big thank you to Donna and Tim Bearman for chairing this event and working tirelessly in organizing and the preparation of the food and beverages. Tim reports that to this day, he can still smell the aroma of hot dogs cooking on the grill but also confirms that his therapist believes that this aff liction should subside prior to next year's event. From March 17 - 20, we travel to San Mateo Campground in San Clemente which will include whale watching on board Captain Dave's Whale Watching Safari/cruise at Dana Point. This trip is especially exciting as we have included members of the Sailing Club joining us with Wagon-Masters Tatis & Lawrence Aiken and Dave & Ilene Ramgren. April 14 - 18, we travel to Playa Del Rey, California to camp at Dockweiler RV Campground with Wagon-Masters: Skip & Sandy Harvey and Michael & Laura Urban. We will be visiting the Getty Villa near Malibu with docent tour, a visit to Venice Beach, and then on to the Santa Monica Pier. Next on the agenda is Nethercutt Museum in Selmar with docent tour. And after all of that, for those who don't get enough exercise, there is a 22-mile walk and bike path with access to the campground to explore. We are also planning to hold the popular Happy Hour party on June 9 and our annual Lanai party on July 21. In addition, we are scheduling a tour of the San Diego Botanic Garden in Encinitas followed by luncheon. Other Day trips under consideration include: a train trip to Union Station in Los Angeles, an educational/ historical tour of the station, and lunch; tour of Welburn Gourd Farm in Fallbrook; tour of Hotel Del Coronado and Lunch and last but not least, a tour of Cabrillo Monument. From Aug. 22 - Sept. 1, we travel to Paso Robles and Monterey for an adventure with Wagon-Masters: Chris & Donna Butler, Ken and Chris Trogden and David & Jacqueline Ettinger. Paso Robles will be the first stop for three days at Marina Dunes RV Park in Marina, California. Adventure awaits you, come explore beyond your horizons and join the fun as an RVer or WOW (With Out Wheels). Just remember, the only trip you will regret is the one you haven't taken.
