Our Volunteer Advisory Committee is comprised of residents with diverse skills and business backgrounds. Our focus is to listen to your comments, whether good or bad, and bring your opinions to our Master Board. We aim to make SLCC more enjoyable for everyone while increasing revenue. April promises to be an exciting month filled with new beginnings — festivities, delicious foods, and memorable events. As winter recedes, we wake from its slumber and look forward to the rich tapestry of holidays and traditions that will make this month special. We embrace spring's warmth and renewal, while taking time to celebrate Easter and enjoy seasonal foods. Easter brunch is on Sun., April 5, with three seating times: 10 am, 12 pm, and 2 pm. Please limit your dining time to 90 minutes or less. Enjoy a delicious hot buffet with many choices: a carving station featuring prime rib and ham, an omelet station, lox and bagels, along with a variety of desserts, beautifully displayed pastries and fruits, and salads. Adult tickets are $55, and children aged 5-12 can attend for $23. A full bar will also be available. Please remember to tip your server! Call for reservations at (951) 769-6654. Throughout April, we highlight specials you might find in a British pub, along with fresh leafy greens as our monthly super-food. On April 1, celebrate National Pretzel Day — great with a draft beer or a glass of wine. On April 7, it's National PINK day — wear pink and enjoy Angels' special pastel cocktails. On April 10, we commemorate the anniversary of F. Scott Fitzgerald's Great Gatsby with a Gatsby cocktail. From April 9 to 12, watch the famous Masters Golf Tournament at Augusta National, and try the signature cocktail Azalea made with gin or vodka. On April 15, the tax deadline, celebrate with a drink called "Income Tax cocktail," which dates back to the 1920s and includes bitters — bitterness in a glass, a wink to tax season. On April 20, join the Boston Marathon/Patriots Day celebrations — one of the world's most prestigious races. Runners from around the globe gather to test their endurance and enjoy the camaraderie of this historic event. Watch with friends at the Sandwedge. This inspiring race embodies perseverance. From April 19 to 25, celebrate National Volunteer Week — your time to honor you and your fellow volunteers. SLCC thanks you. From April 17 to 26, enjoy National Dance Week — sip cocktails and appetizers then dance your hearts out. On April 28, it's National Superhero Day — who's your hero? Honor and treat them to dinner, lunch, or cocktails. In closing, as always, we rely on your support to keep these wonderful amenities open for everyone.
