David William Watterson David Watterson, born in Canada on April 30, 1951, passed away at the age of 74 on February 11, 2026. He moved to California with his family in 1960 and graduated from Pasadena High School in 1969. David served in the Air Force from 1971 – 1975 during the Vietnam War. After his military service he then decided to acquire his private pilot license and a 60' yacht for traveling on the weekends. As a talented photographer, he enjoyed taking pictures while traveling and many of his photographs won contests and were used on magazine covers throughout the years. He was also a car lover, stemming from his passion in the Southern California car culture of the 1960s. His career in the motion picture industry lasted for 35 years working as a camera-car driver. He was also an extra, working on the sets of many movies and television shows. David and Nancy attended the same middle school and high school and reconnected at a high school reunion. In 2006, David married Nancy Boler and they enjoyed 15 years together traveling around the world. David is survived by his wife, Nancy, stepson Devin and wife Sarah, stepdaughter Elizabeth and husband Mark, and six grandchildren, Christian, Billy, Booby, Jack, Emily, and Erik. He is also survived by his three sisters Sherry, Wrennie, and Glenna. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Betty Lea Gibson Starr Sept 23, 1931 - April 18, 2025. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother. Betty passed away peacefully on April 18, 2025 at the age of 93 years old. Betty was born in Nebraska and moved to California at the age of 17 and lived in La Puente in the same house for 47 years. She was a business owner of the Spartan Saloon in El Monte, California, and owned Valley Flowers in the City of Industry, as a f lorist. She retired and moved to Sun Lakes in 2003, bought a lot and watched as they built her new home on the golf course where she resided for 22 years. Betty is survived by two daughters, also residents of Sun Lakes, four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. The desire of Betty's heart is that her family will spend eternity with Jesus.
