12 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | APRIL 2026 | Spring is here, and there are several projects currently underway in the Golf Department. We are continuing work on the fairway bunkers on the back nine of the Championship Course. In addition, improvements are being made to the tee boxes on holes 5, 8, 9, 13, and 17 on the Championship Course. While not every tee box is being renovated, the ones currently being addressed have been a priority for several years. We are also exploring plans to budget for additional tee box repairs in the coming years. e Golf Department sta has also been repainting tee markers on both courses. We are nearly nished on the Championship Course and will begin painting the markers on the Executive Course shortly. During this process, we have noticed that several tee markers are damaged or broken. We are currently evaluating options for purchasing replacements in the future. As a reminder, the rules and regulations at Sun Lakes Country Club exist for the benet of all members. Country club policies are designed to maintain the high standards, etiquette, and traditions that create a great experience for everyone. ese rules are established by the membership, and the Pro Shop sta has been directed by the Director of Golf to enforce them consistently. Our intention is never to single anyone out, but rather to ensure fairness and respect for all members. A few rules that continue to be an issue include: 1. Signing in on the aer-hours sheet at either Pro Shop when playing golf aer hours. 2. Dress code violations, including men's collared shirts not being tucked in, and members or guests wearing blue jeans or tee shirts. 3. Removing range balls or baskets from the driving range. 4. Not checking in at the Pro Shop prior to your tee time. ese policies help us keep the golf operation running smoothly and maintain the quality experience our members expect. If any of these apply to you, we kindly ask for your cooperation moving forward. ank you for your continued support, and we wish you a wonderful spring season on the golf course. Good golng. ~ David A. Goldstein II PGA, Director of Golf From the Pro Shop
