It's a fascinating story and it's our responsibility to re-tell this story so that we never forget. Jewish people were once important and powerful in Egypt but the Egyptians did not like this. A new Pharoah became the ruler and forced the Jews into slavery. Pharoah ordered all baby boys born to Jewish slaves to be killed. To save her son, one mother hid her baby boy in the river where Pharoah's daughter found him. She named that baby "Moses" which means "taken out of the water." e 10 plagues were sent by God to force the Egyptians to free the Jews. e Jews quickly le and had to bake their dough in the sun as they traveled; this was called matzoh. If this piques your curiosity to learn more about Passover, please join us as we explain the symbolism surrounding this important holiday.
