FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | APRIL 2026 47 Spring has sprung, and with the arrival of warmer days comes one of the most beautiful times of the year — when f lowers are blooming, gardens are alive with color, and nature invites us outdoors. Our upcoming travel adventures celebrate the season perfectly, with two wonderful trips designed for you to relax, explore, and enjoy the beauty of Southern California in full bloom. Our first outing takes place on April 15 as we visit the stunning Kimberly Crest Estate. This historic mansion offers not only a glimpse into the elegance of the past but also showcases beautifully maintained gardens filled with seasonal f lowers, lush greenery, and peaceful pathways. As we stroll through the grounds, you will have time to take in the scenery, enjoy the fresh spring air, and perhaps capture a few photos of the colorful surroundings. The gardens are especially lovely this time of year, with blooming f lowers, manicured shrubbery, and even a variety of cactus adding unique textures to the landscape. After our visit, we will head into charming downtown Redlands for lunch on your own. We will gather at Orange Street Alley, where you can relax under the umbrellas and choose from several nearby dining options. It's the perfect opportunity to enjoy good food, conversation, and a leisurely afternoon before we make our way home. Our springtime adventures continue on May 13 as we travel to the Botanical Gardens in Claremont. This beautiful garden setting offers an incredible variety of f lowers, plants, shrubs, and trees from many different regions. Walking through the gardens feels like stepping into a living showcase of nature's diversity, and there is always something new to discover around every corner. Whether you are a plant enthusiast or simply enjoy a peaceful walk surrounded by beauty, this trip promises to be both relaxing and inspiring. Following our garden visit, we will stop somewhere along the way for lunch on your own, giving everyone time to unwind and share highlights from the day before heading back home. Spring is a wonderful time to travel together, and these trips offer the perfect chance to enjoy nature, friendship, and fresh air. We hope you will join us as we welcome the season and make more wonderful memories together. Call Joni at (661) 390-5512 to secure a spot. Just for fun when the wet weather has made the trails too muddy to walk on, the group takes to the streets and refers to themselves as the "Four Seasons Streetwalkers." But when the weather is more cooperative, it's back to the trails and they become the "Four Seasons Trailblazers." We celebrated several birthdays at Finney's Crafthouse in Redlands and Rockin' K Ranch in Hemet. Back in February, a group of Singles attended the opening concert of the San Bernardino Symphony's 97th season. Also in February, a visit to the Smiley Library and the Lincoln Memorial Shrine in Redlands was Cathy Goldsmith's birthday request as she is a distant relative of Honest Abe himself. By the way, for those who've never heard of the Lincoln Memorial Shrine, it's the largest museum dedicated to Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War west of the Mississippi and is definitely worth visiting. A birthday lunch to Outback Steakhouse in San Bernardino was in March. Other outings being considered for the future include a visit to the Watts Towers of Simon Rodia in Los Angeles, a tour of Kimberly Crest Mansion and Gardens and a Windmill Tour in Palm Springs. If these sound like activities you'd enjoy and you're single, we'd love to see you at one of our future meetings. We meet on the first Friday of the month at 6 pm in the RCN.
